Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Tarmac Rakehand to join a busy Machine Lay Gang. The successful candidate will play a key role in the safe and efficient laying of asphalt on a variety of surfacing projects, ensuring high-quality finishes are achieved in line with specifications.

• Raking and levelling asphalt to the required levels and tolerances

• Assisting the paver operator and roller drivers within the machine lay gang

• Ensuring smooth, even distribution of materials behind the paving machine

• Carrying out manual handling duties as required

• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

• Adhering to all site health & safety regulations

• Working effectively as part of a team to meet project deadlines

• Valid CSCS Card (essential)

• Proven experience working as a Tarmac Rakehand or in a similar role

• Good understanding of asphalt laying processes and site practices

• Ability to work as part of a gang and follow instructions

• Strong awareness of health & safety on site

• Good level of physical fitness

• NPORS or CPCS Ride-on Roller

• NPORS or CPCS Forward Tipping Dumper

• NPORS or CPCS Paver / Asphalt Machine

• Streetworks (NRSWA) Ticket
